REFLECTING

what you think
is how you feel

what you say
makes it real

control your thoughts
and your mouth

so life has a chance
to romance you

————

blue is a primary color
so are red
and yellow

on their own they
are pleasant

mixed together
they become amazing

——

seems like happiness
likes to play
hide and seek

you peek around
the corner hoping
to find it

but it’s not there

then when you least
expect it

it jumps out and says
surprise

here I am.

JUST ASKING

Why is the desire to survive
so strong?

When someone passes
“they are going a better place”
is the song.

Does this seem wrong?

It’s confusing
if nothing else…

Mammals of every sort
fight to the death
to support
their life

Why fight
for your life

Why cry
when others die

Isn’t going to a
better place

better?

Just asking.

MONEY AGENT

It’s not just the plunge
it’s walking
BLIND

No one to hold my hand
No one to understand

my need to know
so I can go
the best way for me

Information is
sedation
for my pain

I do not mean to
Interrogate

I’m just starting
this journey late
in life.

THINK AGAIN

Gotta get back on my feet
put my brain in my head
not in my heart.

MR TAX MAN

Blind to others
you limp thru life

Your big smile hides
a small heart

A good ole boy
who has little respect
for the skirted ones

A puffed chest
prevents sensitivity

and visibility

Tripping over
himself

because
he can not see

how cruel
he be.

THE RED HAIRED ANGEL

There she sits
the red haired angel

Lucky by her side

She’s tough as nails
yet
 gentle as a soft breeze

she wears the sun
around her shoulders…

Beauty surrounds her
behind cold steel bars

for she never sees
what’s not
just what is

God bless this tender
 yet
bold unstoppable force

the red haired angel.

WOOF WOOF

So where to walk?

it’s our biggest joy
tho the squirrels would disagree

Such complexity in a small ball of fur

his brain must have been misplaced

Feelings unexpected

hard to decipher
when words can not be exchanged

Not sure how to steer this ship

No matter which way I go
the waters are calm
then choppy

How to make the world
what he deserves…

Quirky is the word I use
to explain him

too simple really

Has life really come to this?
feeling I could fail

at what most do in their spare time

Why the wind sends such
unusual souls my way
I will never understand

All I can do is walk
with the breeze

hoping the sunshine follows.
