EASY STREET

Why are roads 

jammed at 2 pm

Why are stores

crammed at 3 pm

Cuz

Nobody works

But 

Everybody buys stuff…

Is money growing on trees

if so please

tell me where

I seem to be last in line

unable to find

easy street

Is it on a map

if so please

tell me where it’s at

Do I need to shop at

midnight

to avoid the crowd

Where do these people work

am I just a jerk

toiling away

to make money each day

when others have found 

the hidden treasure

It would be a pleasure

to be on the list

with those who live in bliss

The ones that are on the roads at 2 PM

and in the stores at 3 PM.
