FLYING FISH

Flying fish wish to escape
their predators

They take flight
to avoid a fight

They’ll never win.

They have special fins
that work like wings

Lifting them out of
the sunlight zone

Where most plants and animals
inhabit.

They can glide
quite a distance

Providing them
assistance

For their resistance
to their foes.

Who knows
how their special
gift was composed

But it comes in handy
is quite dandy

When dealing with
the reality of the ocean’s
fatality…
