What looks like truth
often is not
Looking thru the keyhole
often does not tell
the full story
—-
He had it all
we had little
but
We found joy in our little
he miserable in his all
---
He stood in his Armani suit, pearly white teeth, Salvatore Ferragamo dress shoes
we in our Levis, dirty nails and tattered tennis shoes
Our hearts full
his empty
We drink tea
he whisky
We are draped in truth
he in lies
Who are the lucky ones?
---
Riches and royalty
often do not fill the soul
often they leave a big hole
that can never be filled
While
Simplicity and honesty
often fill the heart
and the soul
So once again I ask …
Who are the lucky ones?
